I think it is from a capital building rotunda somewhere. Cool picture.

I linked to you in my Wordless Wednesday today!

I took that same picture in Washington DC. it is in the... Gaa! Can't remember the building. The same one as the Declaration of Independance is located. Yea it's the National Archives Building!

its in roma?

I was going to guess a capital building somewhere in the U.S. too but I wouldn't have known which one.

Looks like it's taken from a church but I'm not really sure. :-)

Great guesses, some closer than others. I will put the details about the picture into the post when I announce the winner next Friday the 14th.

lovely photos

the heart rises with sun over still and peaceful waters.

Be thou blessed.

I have no idea, really, but it looks like it would be in a church somewhere.

The Capitol Building?

I have no idea exactly where that is, but I'm thinking a capital dome?

well... I really don't know where it is from but I'm going to guess some sort of parliamentary building.

My guess would be St Paul's in London, although I'm pretty sure that isn't it at all. :) Fun contest!

Looks like the rotunda in the US Capitol building. We missed that on our tour, but I've seen photos of it. :)

This is indeed the Rotunda of the US Capitol. Kudos to Heidi!

This is my kind of game...I might just have to do something like this on my blog. I posted a link to this photo-rific fun!

I will admit you two are correct. This picture is indeed the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.

Newcomers, please continue to add your comments and names to be entered in the giveaway. Next Friday I will post the winner's name and more information about the painting and its official name and origins. Come back to visit!

Well shoot, I was going to guess the U.S. Capitol Rotunda but people beat me to it. (No I wasn't, I had no idea)

What a wonderful site you have! I am glad I have discovered you. I have no idea where this place is in the picture. I don't think I have been there. Cindi

I really have no idea.. but I do recall seeing something like it on a French club trip back when I was in high school at a chuch in Qubee.

I have no idea but nice picture

Have a great day!

Very neat picture, have never been there before (in the Capitol building that is). Guess that's another to put on the to do before I die list. Thanks for the chance!
