The Rubik's Cube is celebrating the BIG 30 this year and I am helping them celebrate by hosting a Rubik's Cube party and giving away FIVE Rubik's Cubes here on this site.
The new “You CAN Do The Rubik’s Cube” program (www.YouCanDoTheCube.com) is designed to get youth engaged in math and science in a fun way.
Holding the Rubik's Cube, twisting and turning the parts, can help children of all ages grasp important math concepts including area, perimeter, volume, angles, algorithms and enumeration, among many other geometry and algebraic topics. Some teachers are even using the Rubik's Cube to teach life lessons and 21st Century Skills such as focus, following directions, memorization, sequencing, problem solving, critical thinking, and perseverance.
For Teachers: Currently, over 1,000+ schools in 48 states are using the program. If you know a teacher that’d be interested in the program, let me know! Rubik's is willing to donate a kit on my behalf. Each Rubik’s Cube Math Education Kit includes: 12 Rubik’s Cubes, 12 solution guides, an instructional DVD with math lessons, cube sign-out sheets, posters, stickers, and award certificates.
Check out how Rubik's cubes can be used in the classroom:

3. If you know a teacher that might like a kit donated to their classroom, leave a comment as well.

I have definitely played with one but have never ever solved one. And as a side note.. I wasn't even smart enough as a kid to switch the labels around haha. It was my nine year old who suggested that to me for the first time a while back. lol.

I played with one as a kid, but never solved it without peeling the stickers off and changing them, LOL. Hopefully I can win won for my daughter so she can do better than that! Thanks for the chance!

I have played with one and solved it once but it must not have been to mixed up or I would not have been able:)
Just tweeted it!
I also Know a teacher that would love to add this to the tools she can use to teach!
Ha, I loved it as a kid… never did solve without removing the stickers though. I bet my daughter would have a good time with one.
I played with my older sister's growing up, but I don't remember solving it. I would love to have one to play with while I'm waiting to pick my son up from school.

I know I solved it at least once, but I'm pretty sure I had to follow the solution guide to do it. Such fun though. I think my 7yo would enjoy this.
No way! I always peeled the stickers off when I was a kid. Maybe I'd have more patience as an adult!
