Today, I took the girls for an awesome and educational tour of the Sun & Earth factory down in King of Prussia. (AND, I was able to hang out with some fellow bloggin' mamas AGAIN – twice in just one week!)
The smell of citrus permeated the air as we breathed in the natural ingredients filling their cleaning supplies. We were first shown examples of the raw ingredients that go into their amazing products and then allowed to check out the whole manufacturing process ourselves. I'll let some of the pictures below do the talking:
After the girls filled up their own bottles with all-purpose cleanser, we enjoyed a lovely picnic, a rather interesting comedian and several fun games & activities. My girls especially enjoyed the caricature artist who also works at the factory! They waited patiently (okay, that's a stretch for my kids but well, they were pretty good) for the artist and came away totally excited to see themselves on paper! My daughter's friend Natalie joined us for the day and had her picture made too!
THANK YOU to the employees of Sun & Earth and family who made the day possible. Thanks also to Sarah from Chesco Moms for setting this up and Beth from Total Mom Haircut for keeping us in the loop on directions, etc.!
I will be writing about this great frugally and responsibly fun way to spend a summer day with kids in my frugal living column for The Phoenix! I'll add that link after it goes live!

So glad you had a good time!
Those caricatures are SO cute! It was really a fun "field trip."
It was a fun day. Now I need to go get my post up and share the kids caricature pix too since we did wait till forever to get them done!! Great seeing you and I can't wait for your beach trip.
Fun & educational too – can't beat that!
